BASIC LASER DIFFRACTION EXPERIMENTS

Experiment(s): Determination of slit width, wavelength of Laser using refection grating & transmission grating. Experiment setup consists of:
a) Optical bench – 1 m length bench with 3 kinematic mounts – Aluminium rail with heavy base and leveling screws & screen
b) Semiconductor diode Laser (LAS-301) with power supply, 3 mW and 625 nm wavelength output
c) Adjustable single slit with rectangular aperture of 0.01 mm to 10 mm
d) Metal scale with tilt adjustable stand
e) Diffraction Grating – (3 in 1 grating) 100, 300 and 600 LPI
