Experiment(s): Observe and record the spectral signatures of various metals. Experiment setup consists of:
a) Digital Constant Deviation Spectrometer (CDS) – Range 400 nm to 700 nm, resolution 1nm, Wavelength displayed on digital LCD display
b) Arc power supply – Heavy duty power supply with output voltage of 75 V & current variable up to 5 A
c) Arc stand – Insulated on top and bottom, movement using rack and pinion gear set
d) Arc rod pairs (4 pairs) – Copper, Iron, Aluminium and Iron rods of >99% purity
